PegaVid is a free site for downloading and transcribing videos, photos and audio from public TikTok posts. There’s no sign-up, it never asks for your TikTok login, and it doesn’t store the videos.

What you can do

  • Download public videos without the watermark the app adds when saving. Paste the link, pick a file, and it goes straight to your device.
  • Save just a video’s sound as MP3, on the TikTok MP3 page.
  • Download the photos from a photo post, one by one or all in a .zip, on the TikTok photo downloader page.
  • Turn a video’s speech into text, with SRT and VTT captions, on the TikTok transcript page. Up to 3 min per video and up to 4 transcriptions every 15 minutes, per IP address. Transcription runs on our own server, one at a time.

The site only works with TikTok links: public videos and photo posts.

Who runs it

PegaVid is run by Isabele Morais, an individual based in Brazil. That’s the person responsible for the service, the data handled here and removal requests. Our servers are in Brazil too.

PegaVid is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok or ByteDance. TikTok is a trademark of ByteDance Ltd., and the name appears here only to say which links the tools work with.

How the site pays for itself

Ads from Google AdSense. They cover servers and bandwidth. You pay nothing, and we don’t sell user data.

Our rules for ads:

  • no ads right next to the paste, download or transcribe buttons;
  • no ads on the processing screen, in the file list or over the transcript;
  • no countdowns, pop-ups, pop-unders or requests to turn on notifications;
  • no download button is an ad. If something looks like a fake button, tell us.

What we don’t do

  • No YouTube and no music services.
  • No LIVEs, Stories, private accounts or adult content.
  • No “anonymous viewer”, “who viewed my profile” or any other tool for watching people’s profiles.
  • We never ask for your password or social media login. If someone does in our name, it’s a scam.

Limits and known issues

Sometimes a type of link stops working. Platforms change things without notice. When an extractor breaks, we show a notice on screen and turn off ads in the results area until it’s fixed.

Quality matches the original post. You get the best watermark-free version TikTok makes available for that video. We don’t upscale.

Without the watermark, the creator’s name is gone from the picture. That’s why we ask you to credit the creator whenever you share.

On iPhone, files don’t go to Photos. Safari saves them in the Files app, in the Downloads folder. To move a video to Photos, open it in Files, tap Share, then tap “Save Video”.

On Android, Chrome saves to Downloads. You can install the site on your home screen (Chrome menu > “Install app”) and send links to it from the Share menu of other apps.
