How to download TikTok photos in 3 steps
Copy the post link
In TikTok, open the photo post, tap Share (the arrow) and Copy link.
Tap Paste
The search starts on its own. Or paste the link in the box and tap Download.
Save the photos
Tap Download all to get a .zip, or tap each photo, one by one.
A photo post link has /photo/ in it, like tiktok.com/@profile/photo/ followed by a number. The short link the app copies, with vm.tiktok.com, works too. On a computer, open the post on tiktok.com and copy the address from the browser bar.
For videos, the home page covers quality and the watermark, and the TikTok MP3 page covers the sound.
Photo posts: one button per photo, or all in a .zip
On TikTok, a photo post can have several images that people swipe through, with music on top. The list shows one button per photo, in the post’s order: Download photo 1 of 6, Download photo 2 of 6 and so on.
At the top, Download all gives you every photo in a .zip file, with the same names and order. It’s the quickest way for a post with lots of photos. The post’s music isn’t in the .zip: it’s at the end of the list, under Download audio.
Photo size
Photos come at the size TikTok stores, with no extra compression. Each button shows the dimensions and the format before you download.
There’s no way to “add quality” afterwards. Enlarging a photo doesn’t bring back detail: it only makes the picture bigger and blurrier. If you need the photo in high resolution, to print or use in a project, ask the creator for the original file.
Still, downloading usually beats a screenshot. A screenshot has your screen’s resolution, depends on the zoom and often picks up bits of the app, like icons, likes and the start of the caption.
Where the file goes
Each device saves it in a different place. On iPhone, the file goes to the Files app, not to Photos.

Where the photos are saved
On iPhone, photos downloaded in Safari go to the Files app, in Downloads, not straight to Photos. Open a photo there, tap Share and choose Save Image. For the .zip, tap it in Files: it becomes a folder. Inside it, tap the three dots, Select, pick the photos and use Share to save them all at once.
On Android, Chrome saves them to the Download folder, and they show up in the gallery, in the album with the same name. The files from one post all start with tiktok- and the post’s number, with the photo number at the end, so they stay together.
When the photos won’t download
- Private account or deleted post. The screen says the post wasn’t found. Only posts from public accounts work.
- It’s a profile link. tiktok.com/@ followed only by the account name is the profile, not a post. Open the post before copying. See how to copy the right link.
- Profile picture. It isn’t a post, and the tool doesn’t download profile pictures.
- The links expired halfway. Links last about 15 minutes. When the list says they’ve expired, tap Get new links and carry on where you stopped.
Image rights
A photo of a person involves two rights: the photographer’s and the image rights of whoever appears in it. Saving a photo to keep, like a travel or decor idea, is personal use. To post it, use it in an ad or in your work, ask the creator and, if there are people in it, the people in the picture. Being on a public profile doesn’t make a picture free to use. Anyone who appears in a photo, or holds rights to it, can ask us to block the post or the whole profile on the content removal page.
Frequently asked questions
How do I copy the link to a photo post?
In the app, open the post, tap Share, the arrow in the right-hand column, and choose Copy link. It doesn’t matter which photo is on screen: the link is for the whole post, and the list has all of them.
Can I download all the photos at once?
Yes. Tap Download all at the top of the list: the photos come in a .zip file, in the post’s order. Each photo also has its own button.
How do I open the .zip on my phone?
On iPhone, tap the .zip in the Files app: it turns into a folder with the photos. On Android, Files by Google and Samsung’s My Files open it with a tap on the extract option.
Do the photos have a watermark?
No. Each photo is the file TikTok stores for the post, with no logo or username added, and no mark of ours.
What size are the photos?
The size TikTok stores, with no extra compression. The dimensions show under each button before you download.
Does the post's music come too?
In a separate button. After the photos, the list shows Download audio, with the post’s music as MP3. It isn’t included in the .zip.
Does it work with private accounts?
No. Only posts from public accounts work. A link to a private post shows that the post wasn’t found.
On iPhone, do the photos go to the Photos app?
Not directly. Safari saves them to the Files app, in Downloads. Open a photo there, tap Share and choose Save Image to add it to Photos.
Can I use someone else's photos?
To keep, yes. To post them, use them in an ad or in your work, ask the photographer and anyone in the picture. Rights holders can ask us to block a photo on the content removal page.
