How to download TikTok videos on iPhone and save them to Photos
Updated on October 18, 2026
On iPhone, Safari saves downloaded files to the Files app, in the Downloads folder. It doesn’t put them in Photos. A website can’t add files to Photos on its own, so this is the same on every site. Once the video is in Files, two taps move it to Photos: Share, then Save Video.
Only save videos you have the right to use, or for your own personal viewing.
Step 1: Download the video in Safari
- In TikTok, open the video, tap Share (the arrow in the right-hand column) and then Copy link.
- Open Safari and go to pegavid.com.br.
- Tap Paste, then tap the small Paste bubble that Safari shows. You can also long-press the box and paste.
- Wait for the Your files list. Each button shows the format and, when TikTok reports it, the resolution.
- Tap Download video. Safari asks if you want to download the file. Tap Download.
Safari shows the progress next to the address bar. A short video usually takes a few seconds on Wi-Fi. The video comes without the watermark TikTok adds when you use the app’s own Save video.
Step 2: Find the file in Files
- Open the Files app.
- Tap Browse, then iCloud Drive, then Downloads. If you changed Safari’s download location, or iCloud Drive is off, look in On My iPhone > Downloads.
- Shortcut: the Recents tab lists your newest files first.
The file name starts with tiktok- followed by the video’s number.
Step 3: Save the video to Photos
- In Files, tap the video to open it.
- Tap the Share button, the square with an arrow pointing up.
- Scroll down the list of actions and tap Save Video.
The video now shows up in Photos with your most recent items. You can delete the copy in Files to free up space.
Photo posts and the .zip
Each photo has its own button: Download photo 1 of 5, Download photo 2 of 5 and so on. Download all puts every photo in a .zip file. In Files, tap the .zip: it turns into a folder. Open it, tap the More button (three dots), choose Select, tap each photo, then tap Share > Save Images.
Audio
Download audio saves an MP3 file. Photos only accepts pictures and videos, so audio stays in Files. Tap it there to play it. More on the TikTok MP3 page.
Why not use TikTok’s Save video?
The Save video option in the app’s Share menu puts the video straight into Photos, but with the TikTok logo and the creator’s username in the corners. It also only shows up when the creator has left downloads on.
Here, the video comes without that watermark. If the creator turned downloads off, they don’t want the video passed around: ask for permission before you share it.
Change where Safari saves downloads
By default, downloads go to iCloud Drive. If your iCloud storage is full, downloads can fail. To save on the phone instead:
- Open Settings.
- Go to Apps > Safari. On iOS 17 and earlier, tap Safari in the main list.
- Tap Downloads and choose On My iPhone.
Using Chrome on iPhone
Chrome also saves to Files, but in its own folder: On My iPhone > Chrome. Moving a video to Photos works the same way.
Common errors
Nothing happens when you tap Download video. You’re probably in an app’s built-in browser, which often blocks downloads. Tap the app’s menu, usually three dots, and choose Open in Safari or Open in browser. Then try again.
“The links have expired.” Download links last about 15 minutes. Tap Get new links and download again.
The video isn’t in Photos. It’s in Files. Do Step 3.
There’s no Save Video in the share sheet. Scroll down: it’s in the list of actions below the row of apps. If it’s still missing, check that you opened the video and not the audio file.
The download stops or fails. Check your iCloud storage in Settings > your name > iCloud, or switch the download location to On My iPhone. A weak connection can also cut a download, so try again on Wi-Fi.
FAQ
Why can’t the site save straight to Photos?
iOS doesn’t let websites put files in the photo library. On iPhone, every download site works the same way: the file goes to Files first, then you tap Save Video.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Safari and Files come with iOS.
Does this work on iPad?
Yes. The steps are the same: download in Safari, open Files, then Share > Save Video.
Will the video lose quality?
No. You get the file TikTok serves to play the video, with no conversion.
I’m the creator. Can I get my content blocked?
Yes. We don’t store videos, but we can block links and profiles from the tool. Use the content removal page. Requests are answered within 2 business days.
