How to download TikTok videos on Android and find them in your gallery
Updated on October 18, 2026
On Android, Chrome saves what you download to your phone’s Download folder. The gallery usually shows that folder as an album. You can also install the site as an app. Once installed, it shows up in Android’s Share menu, so you don’t need to copy and paste the link anymore.
On iPhone, the steps are different. See how to download TikTok videos on iPhone.
Step by step in Chrome
- In TikTok, open the video, tap Share (the arrow in the right-hand column) and Copy link.
- Open Chrome and go to pegavid.com.br.
- Tap Paste. If Chrome asks whether the site can see what you copied, tap Allow. If you’d rather not, press and hold the box and choose Paste.
- Wait for the Your files list. Each button shows the format and, when TikTok reports it, the resolution.
- Tap Download video. Chrome shows a notice at the bottom of the screen when the download finishes, with an Open option.
The video comes without the watermark TikTok adds when you use the app’s own Save video. Only download videos you have the right to use, or for personal use.
Where the video goes
The file goes to the Download folder in internal storage. There are three ways to find it:
- In Chrome: tap the three dots, then Downloads.
- In a file manager: open Files by Google or Samsung’s My Files and go to Downloads.
- In the gallery: look for the Download album. In Google Photos, it’s among the device folders, under Collections or Library, depending on the version.
The file name starts with tiktok- followed by the video’s number. If you have lots of downloads, search for it in the file manager.
Photos, .zip and audio
- In a photo post, each photo has its own button, like Download photo 1 of 5. They all go to the same Download folder.
- Download all puts the photos in a .zip file. In Files by Google or My Files, tap the .zip and choose extract: the photos show up in a folder.
- The audio comes as MP3 and plays in any music or file app. More on the TikTok MP3 page.
Install the site as an app
Once installed, the site opens full screen, without the browser bar, and joins Android’s Share menu.
- Open pegavid.com.br in Chrome.
- Tap the three dots.
- Tap Install app or Add to Home screen. The name changes with the Chrome version.
- If you’re offered Install or Create shortcut, choose Install. A shortcut doesn’t join the Share menu.
- Wait a few seconds. The icon shows up on the home screen and in the app list.
The installed app is the site itself. It takes little space, doesn’t go through the Play Store and doesn’t ask for access to your photos or files.
Download from the Share menu
With the site installed:
- In TikTok, open the video and tap Share.
- Open Android’s share menu. In TikTok, it’s usually at the end of the row of apps, under More.
- Pick PegaVid from the list.
- The site opens with the link already in the box, and the search starts.
TikTok sends the link along with some text. That’s fine: the tool finds the link inside the text.
The first time, the icon may be at the end of the list. On many phones, you can pin it to the top: press and hold the icon and choose pin.
Common errors
- PegaVid isn’t in the Share menu. Most often, the site was added as a shortcut instead of installed. Delete the icon and install again, choosing Install. If it still doesn’t show, update Chrome and restart the phone.
- The download doesn’t start. You’re probably in an app’s built-in browser, which often blocks downloads. Tap the three dots and choose to open in Chrome.
- “The links have expired.” Links last about 15 minutes. Tap Get new links.
- The download failed. Check your connection and free space, then get new links.
- The video isn’t in the gallery. Open the file once in the file manager, or close and reopen the gallery. Some phones take a while to refresh the list.
- The file went to the SD card or another folder. In Chrome, go to Settings > Downloads and check which folder is set as the download location.
